Part 8: adifferentdoldrum

the main
taker
whose cruel
thumbsnaps

the head
roaster
roasts a lot
of heads

hediscard

discovered
a late
discovered

attribute of
a tribute in
the naming
to the color
of a vessel
halfburied
unrained
within

upon the
the men
who ate
who ate
bits of rope

wear
upon them
women who
never saw
the sea
from a ship

or blue
through
the cords
the cables

the sails
unrecorded
by theswan

featherpen
inclined
toward

Part 7.
shipwreck: entada rheedii

the stranded
the promenaded
the letters interred
to grow a pebbled
coastal vine

families rended
by a boat
a boot appraised
the sales salt
dispersed put
ashore placed
ashore wracked and

deprived of the
of a daughter’s
suddenheight

home far from home
I see a family of four
far from home
the most basic
of vessels to
drink deep from

the temporary villagers
the wisdom dowagers
the fatal fortune tellers

shipriven beached
economies doomed
to wonder doomed
to wander amid
ship the muddy
footprint that stops

at the verge
at the boarding
chaos the galley
the gallery viewed
as exhibit as item:

the ancient painting
of a pig kept
secret in a cave

the tourists want
to see to see

shipwreck: sandrift

comprisedof
marine snow
marinesnow
over burnished
manandbones

abird close to
closedto the
water the
softness of
thedeep
howdeep

howprofound
the marine snow
the gorging
marine snow
eats in aphotia
we’ll call outland

seabird dissolved
atomized the drift
the layers that
rise to and
fill the abyss

the peregrination
of feathers from
the sea air to
the seagrip to
the seasvertices
to the undepth
of dusty ocean

an easement
a permission
the limitless
cistern there
is nothing dead
there but movers
thatrange there
amid the plumes

the stirrings
longed toward from
this scuttled ship
this clamorous coast
this cluttered land
