An Urban Legend

There was a cow. It looked like it was sleeping, standing up.
The night was cool, intense and thrilling. I was but a pup.
Th' excitement in the air was rivetting and palpable.
The dude was just about to tip it over—culpable--
so it would not be able to get up again. He laughed.
The cow flipped over, as if it had calved. It had been halved.
The strong and stocky dude took off before the cow awaked.
The cow collapsed. It was buck naked. O, it had been spanked.
It was an urban legend that was absolutely true.
I know. I had been there. The darkness tightened like a screw.
