NUMBERS WE BECAME
I became a number
I became a percentage
I represent depression
Confinement
Drugs
Violence
Melancholia
Eternal loneliness
Suicide
I am the 90 percent
of unemployment
of thirst
of injustice
of hatred
Hatred
I am transformed to a minor spot
in the context of depersonalization
Just one another added in the black list
Just another living in this perpetual angst
I am the number
You are the number
You represent destruction
Suffocation
Ignorance
Convention
Internal poverty
Complacency
Despair
The 10 percent?
Still here
But never emphasized
Potentially belong to it
but they don’t recognize it
They want us out
We became numbers
We became percentages
in a system which turned us into mortes-vivantes
But we can change that, can’t we?
