1. figure of a foreboding silhouetted spiderman clinging to skyscraper
2. while jesus gets crucified around the corner why just take a number
3. people forget about all the others included in his party on the itinerary
4. with politicians creeping out of the murky portholes of the watergate
5. soon strange surreal felliniesque projects are gonna get put up
on the outskirts of the inner-city to make things all right again
6. and the infamous great society even those structures & plans
which directly proceeded that like the "i like ike" highway
stretching its textbook tour towards the pristine figures
& forms of technicolor suburbia have all turned towards
blueprint nightmare strip malls of cookie-cutter lowe's
& home depots & faux starbucks & panera & burger
king & mcdonalds all for the sake of progress & free-
enterprise & competition which will give "the impression"
7. diagrams for a sense of 'completeness' & contentment
8. there's a fine line between fear of failure & fear of success
& existence gets measured & becomes the difference
between the estimated variables to this equation
9. the pools & mansheds & virgins & satellite dishes
are all above-ground and it is difficult to make the
distinction like some everything-must-go collection
of pre-manufactured mausoleums of a 'distant'
not very (all too) 'familiar' situational-depression
10. "extinction" gets decided & becomes identified
& representative when one symbolically & literally
decides (or just does not decide at all, more so
no longer the will or desire) to be a member or
part of the cookie-cutter mass-consumption
11. (to let their 'lawn go' or perhaps decide
not to mulch anymore, for example)
12. expert crew of unionized electricians
whose speciality is in complaining
and built-in excuses show up with
their utensils (with their addictions
and organized coolers full of beer
for their mandated lunch hour) to fix
the mouth of the out-of-order clown
13. wiggers and white trash abound
14. some new & improved hybrid of hound
made & bred lost & found in the lab
(like labradoodles who let out every
so often very controlled self-soothing
mechanical & methodical barking sounds)
and sit very poised & proper even a bit
peculiar & psychotic on postage stamp
lawns in front of ranches & split-levels of
neighbors never see or get to know at all
15. the mailboxes & lawn ornaments & garbage cans
& the ritual & routine of their machinations provide
symbolic transitional objects & artifacts to help
separate doubt from fear, good from bad, right
from wrong, safe & secure from the primal
& unknown, cognitive from behavioral,
reality-based from paranoia, shallow
from superficial, superstition from religion, fact
from fiction, and forms of hell from forms of heaven
16. this is where all weather begins and all weather ends
17. a bastion of real-life, false archetypal symbols
and absurd & pathetic, conformist role-playing
18. and have a cocktail & as-needed blend of psychotropic
medication for when ones anxiety or high-expressed
emotion or neuroses or obsessing begins
to kick in and get the better of them
19. he knows death only comes when
one has lost their will to imagine
20. and life simply made up of constant guilt
& conflict or people who just don't know how to act
21. in fact has a hard time making the distinction between
the petty thief & criminal & police benevolent association
22. between the delinquent & angel
23. between the slut & devil
24. she makes sure to always have a freshly-charged pack
of batteries for the vibrator like for the electric candles
she inserts in the holiday windows to guarantee an
existence and to live a life of happily ever after
25. her existence becomes the forms & images
delineated from the light streaming through
the translucent blinds keeping an eye out
on the life & times of the mailman & ups man
& daily activities & routines & rituals of neighbors
26. out here there are never any existential crises
because everyone still lives with their mother
and meet up on motorcycles like some daily
reunion of chinese buffet in gray, nondescript
areas right outside the ghetto pleasantly
contented and going through the motions
27. (the demographic can range anywhere
from codependent to divorcee to geriatric)
28. dysfunction becomes the remainder of those
who have lived & survived it & are alive &
don't even know it & it is only triggers
which make them feel anything at all
which makes them feel nothing at all
29. the flowers and suburban shrubs which come up every year
remind us of our death, of our silence, of our mortality
(something of self-destructive tendencies divided by
self-fulfilling prophecies and equals an existential
murder rate) that we are clearly not here and
forced to turn to forms of fantasy & escapism
30. a rich caucasian housewife with the kleptomania
(& traits & characteristics of privilege & entitlement
who feels emotionally & eternally neglected & cheated
& taken advantage, even proverbially left at the alter)
ducks dull-eyed & distant from the doors of j.c. penny's
31. she claims to have forgotten...
