Dismemberment is not necessarily cutting
someone’s limbs off. || Dismemberment
sometimes happens when you feel on a limb
or when you feel as though you are in limbo.||
Outside. The intense coldness was functioning
as a sharp saw harvesting bones.||
When I turned home, I sat beside the fireplace.
Bit by bit, my phantom limbs were regained.
I wished every tramp could have
a fireplace, ||too.||

dismemberment.
Certainly, tramps need metaphors, ||too.||
Arithmetic
Fear comes from arithmetic.
But we need calculation
to win the battle.
