Nathaniel Hylton
Nathaniel Hylton is a multidisciplinary artist, debater, and poet. A Prep for Prep Alum, Nate resides in Canarsie, Brooklyn with his mom and younger sister. Nate is deeply committed to understanding and alleviating the ways social and economic policies impact marginalized communities. When combined with his strange love for all things poetical & political that call people to action, Nathaniel finds ways to shift social responsibility to his audiences; the result is captivating. Inspired by poet Danez Smith, Nathaniel’s latest publications of various poems have earned him Scholastic gold and silver medal recognition on the national and regional levels. Nathaniel’s first book of poetry will soon appear on various international print and online platforms. He has featured and performed at the NYC Poetry Festival twice and collaborated with the musician Jim Glasgow of the Strange Fangs Factory to layer his poetic work with classic tunes.
